Dig Days

When’s the next one?

The next dig day will be on Sunday 5th February, meeting in the Aston Hill carpark at 10am.

What we doing?

We’ll be concentrating on DH4, tidying up after the machines have finished doing their thing. If you want to lend a hand to the work that’s been going on, this is your chance!

What shall I bring?

Bring tools (shovels, mattocks, rakes etc.) if you have them, and don’t forget protective gloves, boots and glasses are always a good idea!

Is this your first time?

If you haven’t come along to a dig day before then you’ll need to read the code of conduct and fill in a Trail Crew form. You can download one here to print and bring along on the day.

I want to know more! Sign me up, baby!

Want to know when dig days are happening? Then you need to get our Hillbilly mails!

Can I come and tidy up the woods with my chainsaw please…

also when I went to park today the carpark was locked.

  5. Zak - as long as you have the permission of a parent or guardian.

Bob - what time was this? You’d be welcome to come along with your chainsaw, but I think you know what’s coming! You’d need to have the relevant certification and safety kit, it would have to be with the FC’s permission and there would have to be a member of the AH committee organising it so everything is recorded. If this sounds good then it’d be great to hear from you.

    Aston hillbilly.
yep happy to saw the woods and keep the trails clear.
Im a fully qualified tree cutting type chap and would be able to undertake all types of forestry operations and course maintenance.
Im approx 15mins away by car.

ah yes 09.30hrs.there was a couple of xc boys parked in the road too.
I went around wendover woods but could not find the warden.went home and trued up my wheels tho so all is not lost.

  7. If you’re a member then it’d be great to have you along at the AGM - that’d be the best place to meet everyone face to face. We already have one tree surgeon who helps out and it’d be great to have more to call on for help.
